It is to inform that, CPCB has issued categorization of industries in which “Isolated storage of hazardous chemicals (as per schedule of manufacturing, storage of hazardous chemicals rules ,1989 as amended)” in included under Red category of industries and has to obtain the Consent of the State Pollution Control Board in accordance with MSHC Rules, 1989. MSHC Rules, 1989 gives guidelines, inventory & threshold limit for isolated storage of various hazardous chemicals. However, as per the MSHC Rules, 1989 (amendment 2000), Consent of the PCB needs to be obtained for Storage of isolated chemicals if Storage capacity is more than 50 Tons for flammable gases and your proposed activity is storage facility of LPG cylinders-100 no.s/Day (which is a flammable gas), which is within the threshold limit of 50 Tons, as per the MSHC Rules, 1989. |
